  • Hammers for Heroes

The Repair Corps program is part of Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build, a national initiative that serves veterans and their families.  Repair Corps, funded by The Home Depot Foundation, enables local Habitat for Humanity affiliates to help veterans build strength, stability and independence through critical home repairs on owner-occupied homes.

If you are a Kentucky veteran and your home is in need of critical home repairs, please fill out the form below and submit it to KyHFH. Someone will be in touch with you to discuss options as soon as possible.

Typical repairs might include (to name a few):
New roof
Handicap Accessible Ramp
Plumbing and electrical repairs
Windows/doors replacement
New flooring
Bathroom modifications
HVAC system
Mold removal
Kitchen updates

  • Container homes

Serving very low income Kentuckians in an innovative homeownership program which adapts an 8 x 40 ft. Shipping Container into a 320 sq. ft. affordable and super energy efficient home. 

  • Tiny House

A standard style stick built tiny house, averaging in size from approximately 280 sq.ft. to 600 sq. ft. These homes will be super energy efficient and affordable for low to extremely low income homebuyers.

  • Educational Learning

Each year, KyHFH with funding through Kentucky Housing Corporation, HFHI and the USDA RD RCDI grant provides educational learning opportunities for our affiliates across Kentucky in the format of statewide conferences, one-on-one’s and regional meetings.  Subject matter can include: construction, resource development, board development and recruitment, volunteer management, MPAR (mortgage policies & regulations), ReStore development and compliance, veterans programs, aging in place, financial management, to name a few.

  • Grant writing and consulting

KyHFH has been successful in partnering with our Habitat affiliates in the writing, submission and compliance of grants through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, Kentucky Housing Corporation, Department of Housing & Urban Development and the USDA Rural Development.

Youth Programs

Campus chapters

Our student-initiated high school and college chapters across the U.S. partner with us to build homes and to support awareness-raising events.

Habitat Young Professionals

Professionals support local services while acting as leaders, volunteers, advocates, educators and donors.

Collegiate Challenge

We offer alternative school break volunteer opportunities to high school and college students throughout the United States.

Act! Speak! Build! Week

This special weeklong event empowers young people to educate themselves and their communities and move people to social action.

Young Leaders Conference

Join us for a networking event to meet fellow leaders, share ideas, create new ones and dive deeper through leadership development courses.
